AWOK: Primal - Scathing

It's Friday the 13th, so I figured I'd post something "spooky." This is Scathing, the Necromancer, from the AWOK: Primal Series 2 Kickstarter by Spero Toys.

All of the white parts are new and the existing bird parts and placeholder softgoods are rendered in black. As soon as I started the sculpt I asked Jason if he'd like me to make it more like a "traditional" vulture than the more wild looking Egyptian-style vulture from the original concept. Mostly to give him any sort of range of motion in the head/neck and just to make it read more as a vulture, which I think plays into him being a necromancer nicely.

Fun fact for you customizers, I made it so the feather collar actually inserts into the neck cavity in the torso as a separate part so you can take it apart and it fits the existing bird neck. Also, all other parts are compatible with the other Avian parts so far, so you could conceivably put Raving's Head/Neck/Limbs on Scathing's body.
